TEEN GUITAR CLUB
Whether you're a shredder or just starting out, this is the perfect place to jam with other teens, learn new songs, and have some fun. We'll explore everything from pop and rock to blues and indie, share tips and tricks, and maybe even write our own music. All skill levels are welcome!

What?

Focused on fun and learning the songs you listen to, this 11-week teen guitar club is open to youth in grades 7-12.

Instruction will be tailored to the needs of the club members.

The program will end with a community performance as part of the Simcoe Youth Choir concert at Collier Street United Church at 7pm on December 14th, 2026.

Maximum 8 participants.
When and Where?

Hillcrest Public School on Mondays from 7pm to 8pm.

September 28th to December 14th (no class on Thankgiving).
Cost?
-
$55 for the 11-week program.

$20 deposit for those in financial need. The deposit will be refunded if your teen attends at least 9 classes. Please email sarah@glowingheartscharity.org before registering if you need to split up your payment of the deposit.

Includes the free loan of a guitar for those who sign an instrument loan agreement.
Requirements:

Willingness to learn, participate, be respectful, and committed to attending classes.

No previous experience or music reading ability needed.

Katherine Chabot-Guitar Teacher
Kat Chabot is a local musician and music teacher from Barrie, Ontario. From playing on the stages at Kempenfest, to teaching kids private lessons and music camp - Kat loves to share her love of music with all ages!
